What a great week spent with familiar faces and informative guest speakers at the annual RTIME Expo in Austin, Texas. Engaging conversation about topics ranging from the Customer Experience, Smart Home Technology, and the Innovations of tomorrow created an educational schedule for all. As technology continues to evolve at a rapid pace, one key driver was ever present in all discussions: adaptability. The ability to adapt within your role as an employee, team member, or organization as a whole is imperative to drive success- both from a legislative and customer facing perspective. Highlights included FCC Commissioner Carr providing valuable insight to policy that is directly affecting the market’s broadband initiatives. His discussion with Shirley Bloomfield, NTCA CEO, delivered promising proposals on how he will deliver results in rural broadband this year. ASEC, Anne Hazlett, addressed attendees about the need for modern infrastructure in rural communities. Her passion was infectious and set the tone for exploration into more expansion and innovation. Dr. James Olvier, of Iowa State University, introduced advances in AR/VR technology and shed light on how this platform may be introduced to an everyday user sooner than we believe. If this array of topics is any indication of where the world of broadband is advancing, we’re excited to see growth and real change in 2018 with our partners. The future is now!
We appreciate everybody stopping by our booth to discuss these topics and more. ISPN is committed to working together in being integrated into your community by providing the most robust and effective solutions. We look forward to more conversation and in-depth collaboration at our next event. We will be exhibiting at the ICA Expo, Des Moines, IA. March 6-7, 2018.
